New blockbuster movie starring a famous actor Jason Statham is being filmed in the village near Milton Keynes this week. This village is Tyringham, located just outside Newport Pagnell. Film crews have arrived at Tyringham Hall, which is privately owned 18th century home. The movie being filmed over there is an action thriller "The Beekeeper". Statham is the main star in the film, with Josh Hutcherson, Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman and Bobby Naderi being the other members of the cast.
The American flag can be seen flying over Tyringham Hall during the filming. This 18th century home was used on many occasions before for fliming movies. In the 1960's "Arabesque" starring Sophia Loren and Gregory Peck was filmed in this location. In 2012 "Gambit" with Cameron Diaz, Colin Firth and Alan Rickman gave Tyringham Hall another worldwide recognition. It's a great chance for local residents to come across famous actors and perhaps take a photo or get signature if they are lucky enough.
