72-godzinny strajk lekarzy stażystów.

Brytyjskie Stowarzyszenie Medyczne (BMA) ogłosiło niedawno akcje strajkową lekarzy stażystów. Rozpoczęła się ona w poniedziałek, 13 marca o godz.7:00 i potrwa do czwartku, 16 marca do 7:00.

Szpital Uniwersytecki w Milton Keynes prowadzi nieustanne opiekę ratunkową, działa departament A&E. Jeśli jesteś w stanie zagrażającym życiu, otrzymasz pomoc w A&E lub dzwoniąc pod nr 999.

Jeśli jednak nie masz objawów zagrażających życiu, sugeruje się kontakt z przychodnią GP, konsultację pod nr 111 lub zasięgnięcie konsultacji przez stronę www.nhs.uk. Z powodu większego natężenia obowiązków innych medyków w szpitalu, poszczególne procedury mogą zostać odwołane, w przypadku innych wydłużeniu ulegnie czas oczekiwania.

Medyczne związki zawodowe są w nieustannym sporze z rządem odnośnie podwyżek w roku podatkowym 2022/2023. Oczywiście lekarze stażyści ze szpitala w Milton Keynes przyłączają się do tej akcji strajkowej, zainicjowanej przez BMA. NHS chce jak najszybszego rozwiązania problemu z pożytkiem dla systemu opieki zdrowotnej. Same rozmowy na temat ewentualnych podwyżek prowadzą związki z rządem.

Statystyki pokazują, że w kraju jest 61,000 lekarzy stażystów, sprawujących codzienną opiekę nad pacjentami. Żadają oni w ramach postulatów strajkowych 26% podwyżki.

The British Medical Association (BMA) hannounced that junior doctors in England will take industrial action beginning with a full 72-hour stoppage of work this week. Continuous strike action has started at 7am on Monday, 13th March and will continue through to 7am on Thursday, 16th March.

There is no change to urgent and emergency care at Milton Keynes University Hospital. If your condition is serious or life threatening, you're advised to call 999 or go to the E&A Department. If you need medical help on these days but it’s not serious or life-threatening, please contact your GP, call 111 or consult www.nhs.uk. Due to the expected increased pressures on the hospital during this time, waiting times may be longer than usual and the majority of appointments (including operations, procedures and outpatient clinics) postponed or rearranged.

Trade unions representing NHS staff are in dispute with the government over the 2022/2023 pay award. A number of the union's members are taking part in an industrial action. This BMA run strike action will obviously include junior and trainee doctors from Milton Keynes University Hospital. The National Health Service wants to see a resolution as soon as possible but in terms of potential pay increase the government will be holding discussions with the trade unions. Statistics present that there are around 61,000 junior and trainee doctors in the country, who look after patients and cover day-to-day diagnostics duties. They seek to get 26% pay increase.
