19 aresztowań miało miejsce w Milton Keynes podczas Operacji Berło w ciągu tygodnia, poinformowały źródła Thames Valley Police.
Akcja trwała od 26 kwietnia do 1 maja, w którym to czasie policjanci podjęli szereg działań obliczonych na zapobieganie przestępczości z użyciem noża. Jest to zmora naszych lokalnych społeczności.


Kosze na ostre narzędzia, noże umieszczono przed posterunkami policji w MK i całym regionie. Znalezionych zostało w wyniku akcji sporo noży i innych ostrych, niebezpiecznych narzędzi zarówno w Milton Keynes, jak i okolicach. 10-calowy nóż został odnaleziony przez policję w Hodge Lea. 250 noży zostało skonfiskowanych w Thames Valley, z czego aż 120 w Buckinghamshire.
Dokonano 19 aresztowań. Policja przeprowadziła procedurę "zatrzymaj-przeszukaj" na 59 osobach, z których jak wspomniano areszt zastosowano wobec 19.
Akcja zakończyła się sukcesem, zabezpieczono sporo ostrych narzędzi, które potencjalnie wykorzystać mogli przestępcy.

19 arrests were made in Milton Keynes during Operation Sceptre during the week of action, Thames Valley Police confirms.
Action was run from April 26 to May 1, as police officers completed a series of schemes to prevent the rise of knife crimes. This type of crime is unfortunately present in high numbers in our societies.
Amnesty bins were placed outside police stations across the region, also in MK.
A series of sweeps were done in order to discover knives and other bladed objects.
Throughout the week this action made a difference and allowed police to discover some sharp and very dangerous objects in Milton Keynes and the whole region. A 10-inch bladed weapon was uncovered by the police in the Hodge Lea area. 250 knives were found in Thames Valley in total, 120 of those were seized in Buckinghamshire. 19 arrests were made during a week long operation. Officers stopped and searched 59 different people and in effect of that 19 people were arrested.
This important scheme helped to discover dangerous and sharp bladed objects within local communities as well as raise an awareness in effect of outcome of the whole action.
