Zapowiedź cyfrowej waluty w Wielkiej Brytanii.

Od dawna się już o tym mówiło i stało się. BRITcoin to zapowiedź cyfrowej waluty angielskiego Banku Centralnego. HM Treasury, czyli Skarb Państwa i Bank of England (Bank Centralny) przedstawiły do publicznej wiadomości informacje o wspólnej konsultacji w kwestii wprowadzenia do obiegu cyfrowej waluty. Skarb Państwa i Bank Centralny Anglii podały szczegóły projektu zakładającego konsultacje, analizy, przygotowanie podstaw do tego, by BRITcoin mógł za kilka lat ujrzeć światło dzienne.

Dokument konsultacyjny przedstawia argumentację przemawiającą za wprowadzeniem waluty cyfrowej brytyjskiego banku centralnego. Istotne są zawarte w opublikowanej analizie wskazania o charakterystyce cyfrowej waluty. Faza techniczna potrwa od 2023 - 2025 roku. W 2025 roku ma być wedle planu gotowy system, oprogramowanie i zacznie funkcjonować pilotaż. Ponadto podjęta zostanie decyzja w sprawie wprowadzenia BRITcoina do obiegu.

Wedle wskazań dokumentu kryptowaluta będzie funkcjonowała równolegle z gotówką, nie zastępując jej. BRITcoin będzie rygorystycznie kontrolowany i chroniony prawnie wraz z systemem ochrony prywatności i danych. Cyfrowy funt wedle zamierzeń HM Treasury i Central Bank of England byłby emitowany przez Bank Anglii, a nie przez sektor prywatny. Analiza podkreśla, że cyfrowy funt będzie zawsze miał wartość 1 funta.

Many people were talking about it and there it is. BRITcoin will be introduced as a cryptocurrency by Central Bank of England. Both HM Treasury and central bank have introduced the information regarding the plans in the public domain. These two institutions will be discussing and analysing this project for couple of years before BRITcoin will actually be officially established.

Document for consultations is presenting the arguments for introducing the digital currency in the UK. There are important measures set out in the document regarding the future digital currency and its characteristics. Technical side of things will last from 2023-2025. The software system is planned to be ready in 2025 and that's when pilot programme should be run as well. Then it will be decided whether BRITcoin will be implemented into the money circulation.

Document clearly states that cryptocurrency will run alongside cash and cash will be still present in the main domain. BRITcoin will be secured and letter of the law will be applied to it. All the personal data information will be secured. Digital pound will have value of exactly £1.
