Nowe kontrakty piłkarzy wstrzymane na czas pandemii.

Drużyna MK Dons wstrzymała rozmowy kontraktowe na czas pandemii koronawirusa. Menedżer Russell Martin potwierdził w ostatnim czasie, że niektóre umowy zostały ostatnio "zaklepane".

Zawodnicy, którzy bez kontraktu będą za kilka miesięcy muszą poczekać, by przedyskutować ich przyszłość w czasie, gdy pandemia dobiegnie końca. Rozmowy w sprawie kontraktów zarówno z zawodnikami, jak i agentami zostały w ostatnim okresie wstrzymane. Taka sytuacja nie dotyczy tylko zespołów w Anglii, ale także większości drużyn w Europie kontynentalnej.

Russell Martin powiedział: "Musieliśmy zawiesić rozmowy do czasu gdy zobaczymy jakie będą konsekwencje finansowe zaistniałej sytuacji. Każdy akceptuje ten stan rzeczy, podobnie jest we wszystkich klubach. Niektórych zawodników chcemy zatrzymać, ale ocenimy to we właściwym czasie. Wszyscy są wyrozumiali i akceptują zastany stan rzeczy.

"Wielu zawodników podpisało kontakty, zanim my przejęliśmy kontrolę nad klubem i nie zostało to wcześniej ogłoszone opinii publicznej".

"Podpisałem długi kontrakt z klubem, gdy zaproponowano mi pracę. Szef zarządu jest bardzo pomocny i zaangażowany we współpracę. Chcę tu pozostać chociażby do okresu wypełnienia kontraktu. Chciałbym, by klub znalazł się w miejscu, które jest jemu należne. Mam nadzieję, że jestem tu na długie lata ".

MK Dons contract talks on hold during coronavirus pandemic.

Manager Russell Martin confirmed lately that some deals have already been done. Players out of contract in a few months time at Dons have to wait patiently to discuss their future until the pandemic ends. Talks with both players and their agents were recently put on hold. This situation occurs in a lot of teams not only in England, but also in the continental Europe.

Russell Martin said: "We've had to put that on hold until we see the financial implications. Everyone accepts that's where we're at and it's the same at all clubs. Some we'd like to keep but we have to assess it as and when. But everyone is accepting of that.

"A lot of players signed new contracts before we took over and the previous manager did not want to disclose that or announce that".

The manager too confirmed his contract, signed when he took over in November, not one which was self to expire at the end of the season.

"I signed a long term deal when I took over, said Martin". He then continued: "The chairman has given me chairman that commits to me. I want to be here for at least the duration of this contract to get the club to where I think it should be. Hopefully I'm here for many years to come".
