Amazon launches programme to help businesses across Milton Keynes bounce back from lockdown.
Amazon and Enterprise Nation are launching a free support package for small business and start-ups.
Amazon fulfilment centre in Milton Keynes is encouraging businesses across Bucks to sign up for the programme, which is called the Amazon Small Business Accelerator.
Designed in response to Covid-19 and the impact of the economic lockdown on small businesses, the scheme will start up with a free online training programme to help businesses in the wider perspective.
"Small businesses are the lifeblood of the economy in Milton Keynes and by helping them we can help families, communities and the UK bounce back more quickly", said Amazon's Milton Keynes general manager.
He continued: "Amazon in Milton Keynes is passionate about supporting local entrepreneurs and small businesses, with more than half of all products sold on Amazon stores coming from our selling partners".
As part of the Accelarator, Amazon and Enterprise Nation will run week-long boot camps to provide additional personal training and expertise for up to 1,000 mostly offline start-ups and small businesses from fashion industry, beauty & wellbeing, food & drink services and home & leisure to help them trade online.
Oliver Dowden, secretary of state for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport said: "It is vital that small businesses are able to develop the digital skills they need to help connect with customers online, expand their offer and drive their company's growth."
