Test and Trace nie działa wystarczająco efektywnie

Dwa na każdych pięć kontaktów jest pominiętych w Milton Keynes przez aplikację NHS Test and Trace.
Ponad 1/3 kontaktów potencjalnie zakażonych koronawirusem nie jest dosięganych przez NHS app Test and Trace. Stanowi to poważny problem, szczególnie w perspektywie ogromnego wzrostu zakażeń.

Dane Departamentu ds. Zdrowia i Opieki Społecznej pokazują, że 415 osób, które miały pozytywny wynik testu zostało przetransferowanych do serwisu Test and Trace pomiędzy 28 maja, 30 września.
W Milton Keynes 1,050 "bliskich kontaktów" zostało zidentyfikowanych. Były to osoby (kontakty), z którymi można było załatwić wszystko przez telefon lub online, gdyż nie były uważane za poważne przypadki.
Warto zauważyć, że z jedynie 64% z nich został nawiązany kontakt. W skali całego kraju była to nawet mniejsza liczba, bo jedynie 62,4%. Ponad 34,500 przypadków zostało przeniesionych do systemu, co stanowiło największą ilość odkąd został on wdrożony w maju. Spora ilość testów pozytywnych w połączeniu z niezbyt efektywnym systemem test and trace może martwić.
Przedstawiciel National Institute for Health Protection powiedziała: "Ciężko pracujemy, by zwiększyć możliwości testowania, by podołać zapotrzebowaniu, a także móc jak najszybciej zwracać wyniki testowanym. Otworzyliśmy już 500 miejsc do testowania w skali kraju, co jest sporym osiągnięciem".

Two in five coronavirus contacts are missed in Milton Keynes by NHS test and trace.
More than a third of close contacts of people with coronavirus are still not being reached by the test and trace in MK data suggests. That is quite big issue as cases rapidly increase nationally.
Data from the Departament for Health and Social Care shows 415 people who tested positive for Covid-19 in Milton Keynes were transferred to the test and trace service between May 28 and September 30. In MK, 1,050 close contacts were identified - also referred to as "non -complex" cases, meaning they could be dealt with through a call centre or online. But just 64% of those were reached by contact tracers in the four month period.
Across England that figure of non -complex close contacts reached and traced stood at 62,4 %.
Around 34,500 positive cases were transferred to the system over the period which was the highest number since this routine checks have been launched back in May. Large increase in positive tests, alongside still worsening test and trace effectiveness is worrying.
Spokesperson on behalf of National Institute for Health Protection said: "We are working hard to increase testing capacity to meet demand and improve turnaround times for tests. We have now opened 500 test sites across the UK, an extraordinary achievement."
