Venues muzyczne w Milton Keynes zagrożone

venus muzyczne w MK - 440

Poseł do brytyjskiego parlamentu Ben Everitt wskazuje rządowi, by wsparli finansowo, a także zatrzymując opłatę podatku VAT lokalne sceny muzyczne i teatry.
Sceny w całym Milton Keynes i okolicach przeżywają ogromne problemy w związku z zamknięciem.

Poseł Everitt napisał otwarty list do ministra Kultury, Mediów i Sportu proszę o wsparcie do takich miejsc jak chociażby MK Theatre, The Cranfurd Arms, MK11 Live Music Venue i The Stables.
Poseł Everitt Powiedział: "Milton Keynes szczyci się sporą ilością niezależnych scen muzycznych, musimy zrobić wszystko, by ochronić je zarówno w krótszej, jak i dłuższej perspektywie czasu."
Niektóre venues rozpoczęły swoje własne zbiórki, by postarać się o uratowanie swojej działalności.

MP Ben Everitt is urging his government to give support packages and temporary VAT exemption to local live music venues and theatres.
Venues all over MK are struggling to survive lockdown. There are no plans to re-open them, so they fear they may not survive.
Mr Everitt has written to the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, requesting support for places such as MK Theatre, The Cranfurd Arms, MK 11 Live Music Venue and The Stables.
He said: "Milton Keynes is lucky to have so many independent music venues, we must do everything we can to ensure their short-term and long-term survival."
Some venues have launched their own crowdfunding appeals to help them stay open.
A lot of clubs and venues nationwide are asking government for a part of an emergency £ 50 mln of funding to allow them to survive until October, due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
Music venues are not among these permitted places which will open on
July 4 and it is unlikely they will be allowed to re-open before autumn season, because singing, dancing, standing next to the others are high risk activities in the coronavirus pandemic restrictions perspective.
The Music Venue Trust CEO Mark Davyd said: "These venues are wholesale going to be closed if the government does not act. No amount of social distancing or any other daft measures that the government has come up with is going to make any difference.
"The four pillars of the government's health policy is that singing is dangerous, dancing is dangerous, being in a confined space is dangerous, and being close to people is dangerous. Live music is dangerous and there is no point on doing guidance on how you can do it. It's completely pointless."
Music venues have to be saved, they are part of the community. Live concerts is what people attend to in big numbers. Government has to finally understand that it is crucial to help them out to be able to walk through this crisis quite safely.
