Cztery nowe przypadki zachorowania na Covid-19 zanotowano w Milton Keynes. Od piątku to razem jedenaście nowych zidentyfikowanych przypadków. I oczywiście warto dodać, że liczba zakażeń nie zdiagnozowanych w społeczności jest z pewnością sporo większa niż ta, jaką podają rządowe dane.
Pete Marland, lider lokalnego councilu dał ostatnio do zrozumienia, że jeśli infekcje będą stopniowo wzrastać, bardzo możliwy jest powrót do lokalnych obostrzeń.
Zauważył, że większość nowych przypadków wykryto u młodych ludzi, dwudziesto i trzydziestolatków.
Dodał także, że: "Jeśli ludzie w dalszym ciągu nie będą przestrzegać wytycznych, jest bardzo możliwe, że czeka nas szybki powrót do obostrzeń lokalnie.
"Wzrost zakażeń w MK sprawił, że skala zachorowań liczona wedle tzw. "infection rate" wzrosła w ciągu tygodnia do 8,9
z 2,6. Jest ona liczona w perspektywie 100,000 mieszkańców. Luton ma ją na dużo wyższym poziomie - 25,8, a także Bedford stoi wyżej w tej klasyfikacji niż MK - na poziomie 11.
Choć liczba zachorowań jest dalej mała, to bardzo niepokojący jest znaczący wzrost w ostatnim czasie".
926 przypadków zachorowania na koronawirusa w Milton Keynes wykryto odkąd wybuchła pandemia.
W skali kraju dotychczas 41,369 osób straciło życie, a w ostatnim dniu wykryto 713 nowych przypadków zachorowania. Wygląda na to, że pandemia znów osiąga skalę wzrostową.

Four more Covid-19 cases are confirmed in Milton Keynes. It's total of 11 from Friday.
And the number of untested cases in the community is likely to be much higher than the government figure shows.
Pete Marland, MK council leader said that if the infection rate will be constantly on the rise local restrictions will have to be implemented.
He said that majority of new cases of coronavirus in MK were among young people in their 20s and 30s.
Pete Marland pointed out that: "If people continue not to follow the guidance and if cases continue to rise, it is highly likely that restrictions will be reimposed here.
"The rise in cases means that Milton Keynes now has a case rate of 8,9 cases per 100,000 population, a rise from just 2,6 last week. Luton's case rate is 25,8 and Bedford's stands at 11.
He continued: "While the total number of positive cases is still low, the increase is concerning".
926 cases have been confirmed in MK since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
UK death toll now stands at 41,369, with 713 more people tested positive in last 24 hours.
It looks like pandemic rates are on the rise again.
